Here are some pros:

>Ability of a local company to cut costs and therefore lower prices for services or products.

>Creates jobs and a better economy for countrys that are outsourced to.

As for the cons:

>Removes local jobs

>Lowers competitive pricing.

>Lowers standard wages.

>Cannot Guarantee offshored products or services due to local laws not applying to that particular country.

>Increases layoffs and unemployment rates.

>Bad for the local economy.

As you can see, the cons greatly outweigh the pros on this issue. In order for local companies to truly provide outstanding quality of service, they need to keep all key jobs and services local. In a case involving Capital One Financial, who was offshoring a call center in India, 60 call center agents tricked numerous local U.S. customers into opening new credit card accounts, because local U.S. laws designed to protect U.S. citizens, were not required to be adhered to in India (http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qa3995/is_200410/ai_n9416116). As you can see there is no quality of service from that particular situation.

This is just one example as to why local companies should therefore keep jobs and services local.

The movie I have chosen is Forest Gump.

This movie follows the life of a boy from Alabama who doesn’t have a very high I.Q. This boy named Forest Gump, grows up with a local girl named Jenny who becomes his best friend and throughout their lives will always have a connection. Jenny comes from an abusive family that ends up having a major impact on her life. Even after being seperated for quite a number of years and experiencing many tribulations, her and Forest end up reuniting.

Throughout the years as Forest grows into adulthood, he somehow, through what seems almost like mishaps, becomes involved in some pretty major life and historical events. Some of these include, the Vietnam war, meeting with president Kennedy and receiving a purple heart for saving his lieutenant after a grenade explosion and becoming a multi millionaire from starting a shrimping company. He eventually even makes an investment in a company that he eludes to possibly being “Apple Computers”.

Eventually Jenny and Forest reunite and Forest finds out that Jenny had given birth to a son and that he, Forest, was the father. Jenny explains to Forest that their son was named after him and then explains that she has Aids. She passes away shortly after and leaves Forest to take care of their son.

The movie ends with Forest Gump seeing his son off to the school bus.

The special effects in this movie involved actually placing the character Forest Gump into historical film footage. In order to do this they would have the actor perform against a blue-screen backdrop, such as a weather-man on the news, and then they used Kodak’s Cineon System to digitize and manipulate old film footage into the Forest Gump movie.

The other major special effect in the movie, involved the removal of Forest’s Vietnam lieutenants legs. they again used blue-screens and then used CGI to manipulate the images and remove his legs, making the viewers really believe that his legs were blown off in Vietnam.

Without these kinds of special effects, this movie would not have even come close to the impact it had on the viewers.

In the past two years, my internet usage has changed a bit. I used to play alot of online games and things of that nature. Now I really don’t play games very much anymore. I really don’t have the time or interest really. My internet usage has evolved into more of an information gathering, reading and learning experience.

We do have a freedom of speech here, but what some people fail to realize, is that right does come with a price. That price is that we do not infringe on the rights of other citizens in any way. If an expression of someones freedom of speech incites harm or any kind of activity that could lead to someones harm, then yes I absolutely believe governments and parents should sensor access to certain information.

Ultimately we cannot change the laws of other countrys, but we can filter what our children might possibly be subjected to.

My ideal job would be an IT Systems analyst. The average salary for this position is $83,500 yr. While starting salary is aroung $60,000 yr. Some requirements for this position, as explained in an employment ad at careerbuilder.com are,

I think throughout my college career, I will continue to learn much of the requirements I will most likely need. There are however, some positions that will most likely require on-the-job-training. For that, I will have to find some internships or possibly an entry level position.

“THE BRILL FILES: HASH VALUES – THE DIGITAL FINGERPRINT”

To see if certain files are copys of the originals they used “hash values” to determine if the files were the same. Brill defines “hash value” as a kind of “digital fingerprint” that is produced by a mathematical algorithm. In his article, Brill explains that it only takes a change of “one bit” to the file and it will have a totally different “hash value”.

The investigation results revealed that over 100 files on the competitors computers had the exact same hash values as the files on the first companies computers.

Brill doesn’t say if the person was convicted, but he does say, ” Using the hashing evidence, our client was able to present a solid argument that the files were copied from the company’s computer to the competitor’s computer.”

In my opinion, I believe this is very conclusive evidence and would be highly paramount in determining a persons guilt or innocence.
